Terms of Service

These terms describe the rules for using the LA County Parks & Recreation volunteer management website, application, and volunteer portal. By using the service you agree to use it as described here. Participation as a volunteer is also subject to the county's separate volunteer policies and any agreements you sign as part of onboarding.

Using the service

This service lets you apply to volunteer with LA County Parks & Recreation and manage your volunteer involvement. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account details current.

Eligibility and screening

Volunteer roles may require background screening, training, and other eligibility checks. Submitting an application does not guarantee a volunteer placement, and the county may decline or end a volunteer relationship consistent with its policies and applicable law.

Your account

If you create an account or sign in to the volunteer portal, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. Let us know promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
  • Access information or areas of the service you are not authorized to use.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or its systems.
  • Use the service in any way that violates applicable laws or county policy.

Information you submit

Information you provide through the service is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand what we collect and how it is used.

Availability and changes

The service is provided on an as-available basis, and we may update, suspend, or modify features over time. We may also update these terms; the current version will be posted on this page.
